Poppin bottles in the ice, Like a blizzard

Before I begin the adventures of this day, I’ll just add a few points to Day 2. I know, I’m a little late, but this is my blog, so I can do whatever I want... hah! Day 2 consisted of the longest day of my life, and was in part due to us getting up at like 4:30 in the morning and wandering around Shinjuku area to find Ebisu Garden Place! Probably one of the most exciting parts of my trip, not because Ebisu is exciting, but because it is an integral part of my favorite drama – Hana Yori Dango. With a huge grin on my face, I sat in the place where one of my favorite Johnny’s, Matsumoto Jun, sat. *School girl shrieks* I don’t know how I could forget such an important part of the trip, but I guess since Day 2 was like the longest day of my life, I couldn’t remember all the details accurately... my bad.

Day 7

Another day in the scorching heat… my day began with me tripping outside our mansion and smacking my camera against the pavement. If this had been a sign as to how the day was going to go, I should’ve been worried. And in fact, I think I was; but in the end, I enjoyed one of the most memorable days of our vacation! We hurried to Tokyo Dome area to meet two of my favorite girls! I had only met Maya in passing once in Canada before, but it didn’t take us long to become great friends. It also didn’t take long to catch up with Yukimi, who I’d been missing since her Canadian departure in April. I love happy reunions!

Late again, Erin is none too pleased.

Our afternoon began with a relaxing lunch at the News Café at LaQua where I enjoyed a delicious smoothie to refresh from the sweltering heat outside. LaQua has many shops, restaurants, a hot spring, and an amazing amusement park, smack dab in the heart of Tokyo.

We wandered around the shops and found lots of unique goods. However, compared to North American stores, I’d say just about everything in Japan is unique. Then, me, Yukimi and Maya all went on the Thunder Dolphin roller coaster. So scary! It was only like a two-minute ride, but with protection from only the waist down, it was one of the most terrifying two minutes of my life! After, we enjoyed some Starbucks and made our way to the Wired Café in Shinjuku for a delicious dinner together.

My Dinner

She looks happy, but Ro actually had a massive migraine...

Yukimi had to go home early, as her trip home would take approximately three hours. What a good friend to travel so far to come see us! So shortly after, the four of us wandered over to Omotesando for Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. With free bottles of champagne and glasses of wine being handed out as we shopped, our night was an eventful one. Japan has no laws about open liquor, so walking around with a half empty bottle in our hand ain’t no thang.

Only in Japan do you see little uniformed men form a successful fence

These kids had the moves! You can't even see these little Michael Jackson look-a-likes because their grooving made them invisible... kind of.

Yes, I took a picture of the dude with the no-picture sign

Upon arrival at our home, I remember hearing a lot of giggles and obscenities. Wanting to partake in the activities around me, I decided to wander to Maruetsu to invest in an extraordinarily cheap bottle of vodka. However, after acquainting myself with the bottle on the walk home, I remember coming back with a massive headache and the night of kracie-ness came to an end.
