After playing cat and mouse with us for the first few days of our vacation, Mother Nature decided to take a break and give us some weather that was tolerable-ish. Thank goodness because it was time to visit the Magical Kingdom!! Splash Mountain, Peter Pan, Thunder Mountain, Snow White, Jack Sparrow, and oh so many more delights. I felt like I was 5 again.
Upon arrival, I discovered Cinderella! To my delight, she was wandering around with no excited children in sight, so I took this opportunity to run up to her to ask if I could have my picture taken with her! She looked a little confused/surprised, but obliged… Then, about half an hour later, I found out that the entire park was dressed as Disney characters because it was the first day of Halloween-themed Disney… Woops?
I love taking pictures of random strangers!
I wanted to kidnap this little boy and take him home with me.
At the Blue Bouy Restaurant, we enjoyed a relaxing lunch in a beautiful restaurant themed as an outdoor scene from the Pirates movie. The restaurant is actually attached to the Pirates ride and we could watch people pass by on their boats as we dined. Being slightly moody though, I think I might’ve ruined our dining experi – err, day… [just a little,] but we’re sisters so as the Japanese saying goes. しょうがない
I don't think this kind of system would fly in North America...
As Rochelle and Erin discovered Captain EO (aka Michael Jackson) t-shirts in the gift shop, to our dismay, a sweet girl wandered over to befriend us who just so happened to be moving to Vancouver! However, it wasn’t very helpful for me to be meeting friends who are moving away from Japan; but since I was under the impression that most Japanese people don’t approach random strangers, I was tickled (apparently it doesn't take much).
After a delicious pre-dinner of crepes, we went on a few more rides and made our way to an Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant after watching the Halloween Parade! The Halloween Parade had gone through the park a million times already that day, but the lights are always so much prettier at night. However, before we made it to the restaurant, Erin got harassed by an employee about their policy regarding tripods and concurrently ruined Erin’s photo. This little mishap had a slight impact on our dinner, but at least it wasn’t my fault this time... haha. We closed the park down and made our way to Maruetsu where I began my non-existent relationship with the cashier. He said hi again… eeeek *school girl shrieks*
Nice! But...why were you dismayed about the girl coming over to talk? Were you upset? Oh b!
